Mrs. Pisaneschi and Ms. Simone’s “super second graders” at Remsenburg-Speonk Elementary School welcomed fall in the best way possible, by taking their love of books outside.

Students gathered in the school’s outdoor classroom, surrounded by crisp autumn air and the beauty of the changing season, to enjoy a special reading session together. 

The outdoor setting gave the children an opportunity to connect with nature while engaging with stories, sparking creativity and excitement for the year ahead.

This seasonal activity not only celebrated the arrival of fall but also highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering a love of reading in fun and meaningful ways. For the second graders, it was a perfect start to the season, combining learning, community, and the joy of being outdoors.
